Congress Passes Two-Year Delay of Cadillac Tax

In a major victory for the IAFF, as part of an omnibus spending package to fund the government through next year, Congress approved a two-year delay of the Cadillac tax: a 40 percent tax on high-cost health plans that was scheduled to take effect in 2018.

Shelby Township Accepting Applications for Firefighter/Medics

Applicant’s should schedule testing at http://www.empco.net/ and apply for ‘Fire Service /Firefighter Positions’ with Shelby Township. There may be a fee for the exam; results of testing will be accepted by all participating fire departments in MI. You must apply and pass the test by 1/8/16 to be eligible in Shelby Township.
