August 13, 2013: The Live Fire Instructor Credential Program is a unique blend of distance learning and intense 3-day hands on academy focusing on the responsibilities of instructors charged with the important safety duties of a live fire instructor. This course is based on the NFPA 1403 Standard on Live Fire Training for its content and references Live Fire Instructor Principles and Practices by Jones & Bartlett as its text. Students will complete an extensive on-line course prior to the hands on portion and will challenge a series of written and practical examinations to earn this 3 year credential. Read more:
