Jan. 9, 2014: Michigan Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin today announced two federal grants to help Romulus Fire Department and Plymouth Community Fire Department hire more firefighters. The fire departments in Romulus and Plymouth will receive $729,465 and $1,331,694 respectively from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, part of the Department of Homeland Security.
