Fire fighters in Michigan have something to celebrate as we ring in the new year at fire houses across the state, ready to respond should any celebration turn into a tragedy. A bill passed by the Michigan Senate and House of Representatives this year would establish a fund that will cover the cost of treatment and lost wages when fire fighters are diagnosed with certain cancers. Gov. Rick Snyder is poised to sign this legislation into law, and we urge him to do so swiftly. Read more:
