Are firefighters who show symptoms of burnout less likely to follow safety procedures? A team of researchers recently set out to learn if burnout impacted a firefighter’s ability to follow required safe work practices, care for and safely use personal protective equipment (PPE), and communicate and report safety concerns.

Charitable friends and partners, It is time for the Bloomfield Twp. Fire Department Charities 32nd  annual golf outing to be held at the beautiful and Exclusive Wabeek Country Club.  This event will be held on Monday May 14th 2018 and as in the past we look forward to your continued support and attendance.

                As many of you may be aware the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services sent out a letter informing all EMS Licensed Personnel, Instructor-Coordinators, Education Programs, Life Support Agencies, and Medical about the elimination of the requirement for Practical CE’s.

Brothers and sisters, As you know, since last November when the legislature tried to jam pension and retiree health care reform down our throats, we have been working very hard to try and limit them to reasonable changes. Since February, we have been a part of the Governor’s Responsible Retirement Reform For Local Government task force.
