A group of 11 Livonia firefighters got a preview of St. Mary Mercy Hospital's new South Pavilion, a 154,000-square-foot building set to open this fall. Bill Bofysil, project engineer at Granger Construction, took the group on a tour of the building's new Emergency Center and new private patient rooms under construction.

Flint Emergency Manager Mike Brown says the city plans to work more with the state police, as well as local and federal prosecutors, to fight the city’s crime problem.
