The Education and Training committee is preparing a photo/video production for presentation at the 2016 MPFFU Convention. We would like each Local to submit three (3) to five (5) photographs.

Full-time firefighters in the city of Novi have a new contract that looks to benefit both sides. A three-year agreement (2015-18) was officially approved June 22 by the Novi City Council. The new contract was reached before the current one expired in the coming weeks, which both sides were happy to see get done. Read more:

The City of Birmingham, MI (EOE) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Firefighter/AEMT. Duties include fire suppression, emergency medical care, maintaining equipment, apparatus and buildings; participating in daily drills, protecting life and property; performing fire inspection duties & miscellaneous duties as assigned. Applications for Firefighter positions are now being accepted in the City of Inkster. Starting salary based on experience and qualifications. Applicants must be CWW certified, have a Michigan State certification as a Firefighter II and must have a certification as a State of Michigan or National Registry certified/licensed Paramedic within six (6) months of employment. The Wayne County Airport Authority (Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports) is accepting applications for the position of Airport Firefighter. The Airport Firefighter under supervision on an assigned platoon performs various life, property, and environmental control activities; including but not limited to: Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), traditional structural fire control; and prevention; and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for the WCAA employees, tenants/contractors and the travelling public.
