Armada Township in Northern Macomb County is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Paramedic-Firefighter.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• U.S. Citizen
• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Valid driver’s license (Michigan or out-of-state) at time of application with a good driving record and no felony convictions
• Michigan Firefighter I and II certified by application date.
• Licensed Paramedic. Licensed according to the provisions and/or requirements mandated by the State of Michigan.
• Prior to being hired, candidate must complete and pass a Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT), physical, drug, respirator fit test, and extensive background check.
Firefighter Paramedic Summary of Benefits:
Rural Full Time ALS Transporting Fire Department averaging 1000 calls annually from one station with 5 firefighters on shift daily.
Starting pay is $52,803 (2025 first step rate) with step increases bi-annually to year 4; Candidates with prior experience with an IAFF Department are eligible for earned time (lateral) pay rate
Defined Pension Benefit with a 2.8% multiplier up to 80%
