The City of Monroe is accepting applications for future full-time Firefighter/Paramedic job vacancies. Successful applicants will be responsible for providing ALS emergency medical first response and effective fire suppression and prevention services. Minimum Qualifications: High School graduate with an Associate Degree (or equivalent combination of education & experience), a valid State of Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License and good driving record, Michigan Firefighter I & II certification, current State of Michigan Paramedic license, hazmat operations level certification, and documentation of a successful candidate physical agility test (CPAT) at time of conditional job offer. Residency within 20 miles of the City of Monroe’s boundaries is required within two years after employment. Excellent wage and benefit package.
