ELECTION 2013: Allen Park voters overwhelmingly pick public safety

August 7, 2013: By a very wide margin — 5,114 “yes” votes to 2,164 “no” votes — voters approved a 10-year, 6.75-mills tax increase Tuesday that will wipe out the remainder of a five-year 3.5-mills millage approved in 2011. The new millage is expected to raise about $4.9 million annually. Read more:
