Combined public safety in Bay City will endanger residents

In many communities in our state, the public has already been dragged down the same dangerous road — a high-paid lobbyist comes along touting a plan to save money and improve public safety by proposing a worn-out idea called “public safety officers.” There couldn’t be a worse approach to public safety, yet Bay City is the latest Michigan community where this failed idea has resurfaced.
