BAY CITY: Police-fire consolidation decision could come by end of summer

The possible consolidation of the Bay City fire and police departments was discussed tonight at a special Finance Policy Committee meeting that drew a crowd of about 45, mostly from the two departments. While talks about money are driving the plan, it is a five-year rollout that will not be decided before the 2012-13 budget must be passed by the end of June. Read more >>
