New federal SAFER grant will save 32 Flint firefighter positions and add 7 more says union chief

FLINT, MI -- A $6.9 million dollar grant approved Wednesday by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will not only save 32 firefighter positions in Flint , but will also require the city to hire seven new recruits according to the head of the Flint Firefighters Union. Read more >>
