Unions, activists unite to head off right-to-work laws

LANSING -- A coalition of labor unions and liberal activists introduced Tuesday a broad proposal to enshrine collective bargaining rights for public and private sector employees in the state constitution -- effectively barring any attempt to make Michigan a right-to-work state and nullifying labor-related laws enacted over the last year.
