The City of Monroe is accepting applications for full-time Firefighter/Paramedic job vacancies. Successful applicants will be responsible for providing ALS emergency medical first response and effective fire suppression and prevention services. Minimum Qualifications: High School graduate with equivalent combination of education & experience; a valid State of Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License and good driving record, Michigan Firefighter I & II certification, current State of Michigan Paramedic license, hazmat operations level certification, and documentation of having successfully completed a candidate physical agility test (CPAT) within 9 months after hire. Residency within 20 miles of the City of Monroe’s boundaries is required within two years after employment. Excellent wage and benefit package. Salary: $45,180.72 - $64,415.52 DOQ.
