Dear Brothers and Sisters, The Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union (MPFFU) has launched a statewide fundraiser to combat food insecurity across our state. Each Local has been asked to contribute $100 toward a collective donation on behalf of the MPFFU. At our meeting this evening, a motion was unanimously passed for our Local to contribute $500 to this important cause.

Paramedic Scholarship

The Livonia Fire Department is sponsoring seven EMT/FF's through paramedic school starting in late September 2025. Students will do their internship with the LFD and receive a monthly stipend as well. This is made possible through the 2026 State of Michigan (MDHHS) EMS Workforce Grant. Contact Lt. Passport To Safety 2025

This year’s event will be on June 7th from 10am-2pm at Station 1 Visit safety stations and see a number of demonstrations revolving around safety for kids. This outdoor event is free and open to the public. Enjoy free refreshments and entertainment while learning important lessons on maintaining personal safety.
Set a secure admin password

The first thing to do when you initially login as the administrator is set a secure password for the account. Click the User Settings button from the home page, then scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see a password field. Delete the current password and enter in your own private password.

Two Workers Rescued

Feb 25, 2025, four of our Livonia firefighters, assigned to the Western Wayne County Urban Search and Rescue - USAR team, assisted in the rescue of two workers trapped in a trench collapse in Wyandotte. The USAR team is one of the most skilled in the region.

Passing of former Mayor of Livonia Dennis Wright

Livonia Fire & Rescue is heartbroken to learn of the passing of former Mayor of Livonia Dennis Wright. It was our pleasure to serve the citizens during his tenure, and we are forever grateful for his support. The City of Livonia has lost a friend, mentor and Mayor – Dennis Wright passed away today at age 72.
GIANNA GRACE VS BRAIN TUMOR

Gianna Grace (better known as GiGi) is a sweet, sassy and full of life 5 year old little girl who was diagnosed with an aggressive grade 4 medulloblastoma (large cancerous brain tumor) just over a week ago (sept 13 2024). GiGi and her family began this battle at Children’s hospital in Detroit under the most amazing neurosurgical team.
