The Howell Area Fire Authority, a combination department, proudly serving the residents of
the City of Howell and Townships of Cohoctah, Howell, Marion, and Oceola is accepting applications
from qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Fire Chief. This is a full-time, exempt position with a
salary range between $100,000-$115,000 based on qualifications. The Howell Area Fire Authority is
Emergency First Responder licensed and runs approximately 2,200 runs per year, combined Fire & EMS.
The Authority’s authorized staffing is 12 full-time, 10 part-time and 37 paid-on-call firefighters with an
operating budget of $5.8 million.
