Harrison Township Fire Department is an Advanced Life Support Transporting Fire Department located on Lake St. Clair. Our fire department has (2) fire stations: Station #1 located at 27061 Crocker Blvd and Station #2 located at 39460 Jefferson. Our department is staffed by 27-Fulltime Firefighter/Paramedics operating within 3 Platoons of 9, plus (1) 40-hour Fire Marshal position.
·Starting wage:Year 1 ($43,787.28) Year 2 (51,272.59) Year 3 (59,266.20) Year 4 (67,224.75) Year 5 (74,297.42)
·Defined Benefit Pension with 2.0 multiplier
·Employer-contributed Health Care Savings Plan
· 7% Annual Incentive Pay for your Paramedic License. Additional incentives for the following:
Fire Science Degree, Water-Rescue & PHTLS certifications
457 deferred compensation plan, Employer-matched contribution in separate 401(b) up to 3% (1/1/21)
18 years of age
Valid Michigan driver’s license
Clean criminal record
Michigan Fire Fighter I & II Certification
Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations Certification
Verification of current successful passing of CPAT or BPAT physical agility test at time of application
EMPCO Written Test with a passing score of 75%
