The Trenton Firefighters are pleased to announce that Mr. Micah Keller has been awarded the Trenton Firefighters Charities Scholarship for 2006. Mr. Keller is a senior at Trenton High School and plans to attend Henry Ford Community College in the Fall where he will major in criminal justice. Mr. Keller was selected from among dozens of students that submited essays on public service work. Per Trenton Fire Department Lt. Alec Lesko, an EMS Instructor at Trenton High School, "Mr. Keller is a nice young man who's always willing to get involved. In class he always leads by example." Mr. Keller will receive his EMT license shortly and plans to work for an ambulance company while he attends college. The $1000 scholarship is awarded annually by the Trenton Firefighters to a student that plans to go into fire, ems, or police work. Pictured with Mr. Keller are Trenton Firefighter/Paramedic Ron Collard and Captain/Paramedic Jeff Bonkoski.
