FIREFIGHTER
The City of Big Rapids is accepting applications for the purpose of hiring a full-time Firefighter. Firefighter 1 and Medical First Responder certification preferred. Applicants must have graduated from High School or have a GED and participate in a written exam, physical agility test, background check, and oral interview. Applicants must also possess a valid Michigan Drivers License. Applications are available from the City Clerks Office, 226 N. FIREFIGHTER
The City of Manistee is currently accepting applications for the position of Fire Fighter. Qualified applicants must be certified EMT-B and FFII by the State of Michigan and must possess a valid Michigan drivers license. The Township of Brownstown is seeking qualified applicants for the creation of an eligibility list for the position of Full time Firefighter/Medic. Applicants must be 18 years or older, High School Graduate or equivalent, possess a valid Michigan Driver's License with excellent driving record. Must present at time of application the following pieces of documentation: State of Michigan Firefighter 1 and 2 certification with Haz Mat Operations level, valid State of Michigan Paramedic license. Prior to oral interview, current certificate of passing from Conference of Western Wayne Firefighter testing program (physical agility & written). Must pass Brownstown written exam, oral interview,drug screening, background investigation, psychological exam and post offer physical Salary start: $41,500, with full benefits, which includes the MERS retirement program.
